Radio/Television Personality JJ Simmons Announces College Tour For Freshmen Girls

 

Houston, TX- August 15, 2017– Radio/Television Personality and founder of JJ’s I’m Me Foundation, JJ Simmons is thrilled to launch the first I’m Me Tour: College Edition at the Texas Southern University August 26-27, 2017. The 2-day experience will include workshops, motivational sessions, guest speakers, and empowering freshmen young ladies to continue their journey of success while adjusting to the collegiate life. JJ’s I’m Me Tour is filled with 14 workshops that are designed to give 300 freshman ladies the tools they need to challenge themselves in all areas of their lives as they prepare for their first year in college! Sessions consist of Health/Fitness, Beauty/Style, Etiquette, Self-Love, Self-Confidence and more!

 

Each session offers the ladies an opportunity to be exposed to different high-level careers as well as sessions on the following topics:

  • I’m Beautiful: Basic hygiene, skin care, self-esteem builders, natural hair care and lifestyle apparel
  • I’m Living The Good Life: Finding your passion, setting goals, vision boards
  • I’m Fit and Fabulous: Healthy eating, creating personal fitness goals, setting a routine for a healthy lifestyle
  • I’m Classy: An interactive session on proper etiquette, body language, attitude, confidence,  social networking and more.

Other classes include Healthy Cooking, Robotics, Finance literary, Political literacy and Career Development

 

I’m Me Tour has successfully had workshops and sessions throughout the Houston and surrounding areas for middle and high school girls. Each session is strategically designed to allow the students to have a voice, receive knowledge and the essential tools to propel in their future endeavors. Although The I’m Me Tour plans to stop at various colleges this year. The middle school and high school tour will still proceed with new initiatives during the 2017-2018 school year.

The ultimate goal of The I’m Me College Tour is to reach young ladies in an impactful way which will enhance them as they become young women pursuing their goals through education, careers, and life. “I made some major mistakes my freshman year at Clark Atlanta University. This tour was created to help these freshman ladies to not make the same mistakes that sent me back home! It’s about empowering the ladies to make wise decisions and to better understand how they contribute to the world”, said I’m Me Founder, JJ Simmons.

The I’m Me Tour has partnered with some amazing entities to assure the students receive the proper tools they need to be successful. Partners include Charming Charlie, HEB, Lululemon, Makeup By Sparkle, Riley’s Flowers, KIND Bars, Squeezed Online, MixFitz, Boost Mobile, HMAAC, Chick-fil-a, and P.A. The System.
