Motions Hair: 3-Step Heat Style System

Curly2Straight with New Motions 3-Step Heat Styled System

Heat Damage is synonymous with a four letter word when it comes to natural hair; but is heat damage exclusive to natural hair? I don’t think so; so why the huge fear. As a straight haired or relaxed/ processed individual, heat damage is not easily seen. Dryness, thinning, and split ends are issues that can occur without the help of heat. However, with natural hair, “heat-damage” is easily seen. What does it look like? Well simply put, your hair will take on the appearance of a straight strand and not return (Bounce Back) to its original curl pattern.  This is due to the heat breaking down the hair structure and reducing hair elasticity. This has caused many natural hair ladies to not straighten their hair or limit straightening. But what about the women who would love to wear their hair straighten more often? Motion’s Hair Care stated that they have found the answer to that question.
Their new 3-step Heat Styled System says that you can go from curly to straight and back to curly without having to worry about heat damage.

With the launch of “Straight-Finish” (non-permanent & infused with Keratin to maintain your natural curl pattern), Motion’s Hair held a twitter chat (#Curly2Straight) where they discussed the fears of straightening natural hair. The twitter chats were hosted by YouTube Sensations Taren Guy (taren916) and Lexi (Lexiwiththecurls) who had previously tried the product line, and who were sharing their own personal heat damage stories with the group.  During that chat, a winner was selected to receive the product line for review; that winner was me! I received the following items:
